I don't think that's for any U.S. Bike. I talked to the guy and told him it wasn't for a 68 DT1. Since there wasn't a 68 AT1 in the U.S. maybe for something international.

I think I still have a couple in stock.
That one went cheap.

Looks exactly like every one I’ve ever seen before for the 68 DT’-1’s.

Nope. No 68 DT1 has a red line of 8500. Who knows what it belongs to. Has the red line of an AT but since no 68 At in 68 maybe something international. Won’t go on a 68 DT1 or at least it would be obviously incorrect.

Jeff…not sure what you have there…the tach doesn’t match the speedo for fading so not original to the speedo as a set…

Here is a pic of an NOS tach correct for the 68 DT1. 7500 red line. The gentleman bought it back in the 80s at the Yamaha dealer.  It is on my radar to try and acquire in a couple of weeks. I need more 68 bikes!

I suppose you could have the faceplate reworked/replaced with correct graphics and redline?

I always wonder in these situations if Yamaha had some sort of revision at some point...  probably not...  Seems like there are a few with the higher redline out there so maybe someone knows the story on them?
