I am having problems with my wiring. I have a regulator inside my headlight housing with a ground wire and  a yellow wire that's not hooked up. Where does it go? I don't think my headlight works and I have no dash lights.I do have a brand new 6v battery

Hope you realize the lights run off the magneto so motor needs to be running.  Regulator yellow can go to instrument blue which feeds back to everything needing a voltage limitation, black from regulator body goes to any black that finds its way to earth or run a wire all the way to the coil mount under the tank which is where the main loom earth's out.

jsmith-  some advice...  posting the same question over and over in multiple threads is a really bad way to proceed in my experience...  it will confuse the hell out of you and everyone trying to help.  And people will very quickly learn to ignore your questions as they start to appear "troll-like" and it seems like you're not even trying.

When someone responds and tries to help, best practice in my experience is to respond with more questions if you don't understand what they are trying to tell you.  Don't go off and start a new thread with the same question someplace else.  You've had some brilliant minds try to help you and they've given you exact and correct answers about the regulator you found in your headlight bucket multiple times already.  Time to start listening and asking clarifying questions if you don't understand what they are telling you.

I believe a link to the Yamaha "add on" regulator service bulletin was mentioned and even linked in one of the 3 or 4 other threads where you asked the same questions?  Here is the bulletin again  yamaha-enduros.com/index.php/service-bul...e-voltage-regulators

All good.  Electrical can be especially confusing for most of us.

If you can use Imgur or other service to include pictures, that GREATLY helps clarify what you're asking/seeing and will also help people trying to help you give better answers.

Upload an image to imgur. Once uploaded, you can copy/paste the link from your imgur pic into your post. If you want the actual pic to show in your post, copy the bbcode in imgur from your pic and paste it into your post.

Go to imgur, once in click on your icon, click IMAGES, (you have none at first), then click on POST, drag your images and drop, then once images appear, click back on your icon and IMAGES again, click one picture, I usually choose the second to bottom bb code and it has been working ok so far, hope that helps.
