It looks like a rolling chassis from a 1975 MX175. But I'm just guessing.

Thank you kindly Schu  and Pete it certainly looks like an MX … and the shocks are the right way around … just shows how little I know !!

So my intention is not to restore it but make an engine fit… I have a spare DT1 250
that could go in it or a CT3 175 …. I’d be interested to know any thoughts or views ?????

cheers

Here are more photos that I had saved because I am going thru a 1975 DT175 and will be doing an off-road version. Would love to have that rolling chassis you got there.

Nice frame!

Trying to stuff a 250 engine in a 175 frame is a bad idea in my opinion though.  Too big and heavy for that frame and not very that much more powerful than a 175 for all the work and challenges.

You could use a later DT175, 77-79 IT175, 1990's RT180, or even a Yamaha Blaster engine.
