How often do new in box new old stock fuel tanks come up? Working on my parts stash for my next RT3, just need a decent bike to restore.
Considering what a decent used tank costs plus paint it was a good deal!

Beautiful. Too nice to put on the bike. Better keep it in the box, then maybe put that box in another box.

That’s exactly how I got it, box in a box.

Box says it's for an RT2. Obviously something wrong with it.... you'd better not use it. I'll take it off your hands for say $50?
Seriously... looks like a great excuse for another one of your fantastic projects!

Now you just have to source the same NOS in an oil tank, fork ears, and headlight pod so you don't have mis-matched paint and you're all set!

Should be easy to get a quality paint match but I have a nos headlight bucket.
Gotta find another RT3, probably easier than finding this tank, but my parts stash is getting there. Sold my last RT3 so I need another one

About $300 - $350 for the NOS gas cap. I'd like to find a DT3 tank..

I Have a nos gas cap already, you’re correct on the $$$ if you can find them when you need one. My new strategy is to find all the best parts I can first, then find a restorable RT3 that’s worthy.
Sold my previous RT3 survivor, crap, and would like to build myself a Smithsonian RT3 just because they are a great color!
Asco, I have another used rt3 tank that’s pretty decent if that helps.
