1978 dt250 top speed question was created by Quinton144

So my 78 dt250 used to go about 70 mile an hour top speed. After riding it only a few times this winter it now seems to be lacking some of the power it used to have. I went for a top speed run and it will not rev above 4500 rpms and that yields 50 mph in 5th gear the strange part is in every gear but 5th it seems to have only lost a small amount of power. any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks!

thanks for the suggestion. I figured out the problem was a clogged spark arrestor

My spark [sorry, mouse arrestor] was blocked too, on my RMX.
