Anyway, you get the idea, over 10,000 miles of back road America riding.

Now this is where all the back story matters. October 2019, Flagstaff, Az. EnduroFest, gonna ride some areas I never had the pleasure to ride. Figured what the hell, been a while since I seen my mates from all over, especially the West Coast Gang.

Life been busy, no time to do anything to the Mountain Bike, so the day I leave, I check the fluids, lube the chain, start it, ride 4 miles around the section and figure, all I got so lets go.

Great night of conversation, Subway sandwich and a massage parlor, that was a first and ready for new ground.

My first picture of the trip after our first little stop.

What a nice place to catch my breath and relax, start turning loose all the nonsense outside the helmet.
Time to ride......

Not sure how long after our break, we take off, I feel a hard hit in a ditch, out the ditch, big rock.........this might hurt.......

The next picture I get, got no idea what time, where, just had my phone in hand and all I saw was.

Ill have to let the others fill in the missing parts........

I did get a few pieces of the puzzle, heavily medicated,

BS from me mates.

Little hint of what's to come.......
Time to ride......

"Some of the missing parts"
I was ridding sweep ,It was about 15 minutes of riding since our break. I roll up on the group and my man Vinnie was on his back . Had the wind Knocked out of him. He wanted help getting on his feet. We got him over to his bike, he put his elbows on the seat. He said he needed a minute. We were all concerned he went down hard. Some fellows not of our group said there was a fire station not to far. I tore off for help along with Gfrench ( I think), a few wrong turns later I found the fire station. They had a side by side outfitted with all the essentials, we led them back to the crash site. The Paramedics didn't like what they saw. They started clearing an area for a medivac chopper landing . Oh and the important part.. started giving Vinnie some pain meds. I think they gave him all of it. Then an ambulance got back there, and they cancelled the chopper. Thank God for the Fire Dept. !!!
