I own a 1982 rough DT100 DTX for $270 USD—scratches, faded paint, and worn parts—but that’s exactly why I’m excited to restore : DT100 engine and head, with an RT100 jug and reed. I’m a beginner and an amateur, learning everything hands-on as I go.I’m planning a custom expansion chamber to get the right mix of torque and that classic DT bark. Every step, from cleaning the clutch to prepping gaskets and cylinder, is a learning process. She’s rough now, but with patience, guidance, and some tuning, this DT100 DTX will roar back to , Peace.
