Hello, I'm Dick Achter and the new owner of a 1970 RT1. I have been looking for one of these for a few years now but they are hard to find within a reasonable drive from here. This bike was the same year and model that I had when I was 19 back in '71. That's right, I'm 73. This bike looks like it has been in storage for about 20 years, so I'm looking forward to getting it running and getting it in decent shape. Not looking for a total restoration at this point. I'm glad that I found this forum. I'm sure the knowledge base here will be a huge help as I have a lot of dumb questions that need to be answered! Thanks in

Check all rubber parts for cracking/hardening
Main seals are paramount.

Welcome. I spend a week in July in Skaneateles. My avatar picture was taken there. Send me a PM if you want to get together. I usually have 2 Enduros with me. We could take a ride. Also I have many parts.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

More of a Naked Dove Brewery fan, but this is surely wine country!
A lot of back roads for riding here. I live on the west side near the little lakes (Hemlock, Canadice, Honeoye)
