Hello all, whoever lets us gather here, i thank you. I am a 54 yr old motorcycle fan.i started riding on my fathers 1971 Yamaha at1 125 at 3 years old.  my first bike was a Bonanza mini bike in 1975, then my first mount with a clutch and a shifter was a Yamaha at1 125 in 1980 that started a lifelong love affair with motorcycles. in order here are my rides,1972 at2 125, 1978 RM 125, 1984 Yamaha YZ 250, 1986 KX 250, 1989, Katana 750, 1990 KX 250, 1989 Katana 1100, 1990 RMX 250, 2001 CR 250, 2007 Hayabusa, 1997 CR 500 - street legal, and my current bikes are a 2008 Ktm EXC 300- street legal, 1978 Yamaha dt175 and i just picked up a 1973 Yamaha Lt2 100. I have a 1 man auto restoration shop that i am no longer taking work because of a bad car wreck in 1997 that has caught up to me. my goal is to be able to restore some bikes in the time i have left.

Welcome. Street legal CR500 caught my eye haha. I can't unsee that!!
I'd say you about have the field covered with your list of bikes, & now an LT3.
Just a note [irrelevant but!!] in theory an LT3 is "73--LT2 "72 etc. Think only the color changed & only slightly relevant if ordering parts, where engine/frame number sorts that problem.
So that's two new people with LT's today. I'm cursing the day i dumped mine many years ago.
Look after your health & sorry to hear about your car accident in "97. I'm coming up 77 & still getting over mine, or not getting over it as the case may be.
Had my bad one in "99 & as it happens & was endoed of a CR500 "85 model by memory.
Don't go pulling endless wheelies down the paddock without knowing what ya putting the front down into slightly off the beaten track lol.
Sorry getting carried away there [or should be carried away lol]. Cheers from NZ downunder.

Thanks, the CR 500 was pretty trick, had a IMS overdrive trans kit, 250 watt rickey stator, 8'' cibie headlight, pro circut nickel pipe, timing computer, big tank. it came from Arizona and was a desert racer i was told. it was a dump truck in the woods compared to the KTM. i am dealing with spinal stenosis and a host of other garbage,, i have not fired my KTM in 5 years,,, my hands cant hold on anymore,,, gettin old blows.
