Hello, new to the site, and just bought a 1978 (79 registered) DT400F. I’m based in Toronto Canada. My very first bike at 16 years old was a DT50MX, so I’ve always had an idea to get an old scrambler to tinker with.

The bike I’ve bought has a tank which has been badly repaired a few times it seems and I’m considering a pricey repair. But before I do, I wondered if there’s another solution. I’ve seen a number of tanks available, but my tank has two mounting points at the rear not the single central one. 

Has anyone come across a pattern parts maker for this tank?
