DT360A hose to oil pump. was created by Gr8uncleal

Is this the correct route for the oil pump hose, once it enters the cavity? It's not obvious in my photo, but it's really easy to pinch the hose in such a tight space.

Thanks.

Al, I had the same exact thought recently and somewhere in Yamaha docs I saw a picture of it exactly as you have routed.  I think under the engine source tubing, maybe slightly lower.   I have tested mine and it puts out qty as expected.  going to find the resource I mentioned...IF I can find it.

edit:  Page 24 Service Manual has a picture.

Is it possible to move the brass elbow the pipe is attached to, to a better angle?

Maybe, but, knowing my hamfistedness, I'd probably damage something!

The inlet nozzle is a press fit into the pump . It may twist to a better angle relatively easily .
Looking at your picture , you'll only be able to make a slight adjustment , but that's probably all you need .
I've done it on my RD 400 pump , and it moved easily , but on another pump I tried , it wouldn't budge .

A good kink in the hose does save on oil.

Can't tell from pic too well but make sure there isn't a "high loop" in the bend that will trap air bubbles.  Should be a nice downhill sweep.
