1974 360A in need of a new cylinder what fits? was created by eddy20
Need a replacement cylinder for my 74 360A, first does anybody have one for sale? If not there is one for sale on eBay for a 360 RT3 will that fit my cases? Also there is a cylinder for RT1, RT1B 360 Enduro 1970-71, will that fit my cases? Thank you!

I fixed the link in your post above. Ebay has blocked "hot linking" so you need to use the link function and can't just copy/paste anymore.

There are a couple on eBay in addition to the above mentioned cylinder, do your homework to verify they are the correct ones & in useable condition. Many eBay sellers inadvertently mis label or mis identify their parts usually by accident.

I would like to add my experience with '73 RT3 360 cylinders and pistons. Not sure if the '74 would be the same situation but it could be.
The cylinder liner on the '73 360 is 4mm thick when new (standard piston). I had a problem with one of mine that was on the 4th oversize, done by the previous owner. The liner became separated from the jug near the base causing a lean condition. The shop that does my boring said not to go past the second oversize because the liner will be too thin. By comparison the 250 is 5mm thick when new plus they don't generate as much heat so going to the 4th oversize is probably not going to cause trouble.
I mention all this because when buying used cylinders it is often not possible to determine how far it needs to go in order to clean up the cylinder wall and fit the new piston until you start boring and measuring it as you go along.
And with the '74 being a 1 year model with no interchangeability with other years choices are limited.
Over the last 3 years I've bought 4 NOS RT3 cylinders with standard, first and second oversize pistons and rings for each. This should last me another 50 years for the 3 riders I have.

The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

Thanks LIZEEC, seen those and my mechanics is discussing with the sellers their condition. Don't want to get something that's not usable!
