This ate my lunch today! wiring was created by Don Dieago

Almost all done except the little gremlins. On the turn signal indicator in the tach I cant figure it out I can make it work with one side but not both. If I remember there is a brown and a black wire from the little light one grounds the bulb socket and other to the bulb. How in the world does this work? So So close to done

by the wiring diagram it looks like one wire goes to left turn and other goes to right turn. this dont work and dont see how it could without a diode? also does anyone make a led to fit the lights in gauges? Im now 12v

If you are staying stock, the indicator works just fine. The tiny bulb in the gauge grounds through the filaments of the side that is "off"... not enough current can flow to make both sides light up.

If converting to LED's, then the original gauge indicator system won't work... or if using an LED for the indicator in the gauge you need one that is not polarity sensitive... the gauge indicator reverses polarity on the bulb as you switch between left and right.

Someone found a diode harness to use when converting to LED's... Bikemaster I think... or you could make one with a couple diodes.

I think you might need two diodes.

The cheapest and more effective way to deal with the indicator problem is do what we did years ago and use you're hands lol sorry for the joke couldn't resist.

Hard for me to explain but when I go back to shop I will take a picture. I live 25 mile from shop what I did is could wire it direct and get it to work one side but not other. so connect one side direct and put diode on just the other. problem was it woul feed voltage back making both them flashers at same time not turns so just isolate one side
