No adjustment, one groove. Number stamp 5GL13
This was due to EPA regs at the time that said carbs had to be made "tamper proof"... air screw came capped as well.

That’s what my needle says 5GL13.
I’ve looked everywhere for this. Thank you.
My bike runs great I just needed to go down on my main jet 135. 140 also worked runs better with 135 with 22.5 Pilot.
I did buy a Keyster kit from Germany for a DT175G and it came with a needle with 5 setting but I did not install yet. I’m thinking it’s only for the Europe version of DT175.
Thanks again

Yes, they run good with stock jetting. Only thing I found works better is a 25 pilot. I leave the main at the stock 150.

Ram to Rich with 150. Ran great with 140 and 135. Maybe I will try 25 Pilot.

I'll jump in here for RT325... "make sure your muffler isn't clogged up"
I've had a few of these models... I currently have 2 of them. I've never had one run noticeably rich with stock jetting... all the way up to over 5,000 feet ASL.
Also make sure jets have the Mikuni "square in the corner of a square" trademark stamped by number. Aftermarket jets often are stamped with the same numbers as stock but are often not the same calibration as genuine Mikuni.

I will check muffler for clog. I did my Mikuni jets. Bike runs great.
Where do they usually get clogged near the tail or near cylinder?

So I have 1980 DT175G and 1980 MX175G. The MX175 has a lot more power low end power. And a little louder.
Also have 1973 RT3 360.
I just posted them on yamaha enduro owner and enthusiast facebook page on Saturday

Your MX175 is the exact same engine. Different carb (more like the 1978 carb). Different airbox. (80-81 DT175 has a better flowing airbox.) Exhaust pipe and muffler is identical.
You could try swapping the muffler from the MX175 for a quick check.

To clarify... if you tried it with a Keyster kit 150 main and it was rich, that would not surprise me.
I just don't want you to melt it down the first long run at 3/4 to full throttle if the muffler or something isn't making it rich.
