Oil Pump End Cap?

Oil Pump End Cap? was created by Tinkicker

Got my new DT100 home and gave it a look over.  The seller gave me the autolube pump as he said it was leaking badly, so he removed it and used premix.

The reason it was leaking is because the black pump body end cap is missing and you can see the end of the plunger.

Does anyone know of a source of replacement for the cap?  Not listed in my parts book.

Have the same problem with a 77dt400 oil pump. Any help would be appreciated.

The body counterbore where the plug fits is 21mm diameter.  I thought about a 21mm cup type freeze plug, but the counterbore is not deep enough to accomodate one.

I have ordered a 13/16" (20.5mm) welch plug instead.  I will try it with loctite to help seal it.  If I can expand it enough to lock and seal, I will report back.

The original plug looks like a rubber coated cup type freeze plug except flat side goes "out" and cup side goes "in"

I was hoping it might be 22mm as that's the same as a common shift drum cap.

Here's one that's 20mm...  www.partzilla.com/product/yamaha/90338-20023-00  Side with size numbers would face "out"

Still looking for a 21mm...  perhaps a good bearing supply would have one?

This is very close to the stock cap.  It's 5mm tall but that should not be an issue at all. Flat side faces out.

I was wrong.  The 21mm x 5mm shaft end cap is not close, it's exactly what Yamaha used.

A good bearing supply should be able to get one.  Or online someplace.

Here's a picture of an oil pump showing the size on the cap.
