Roger that, I'll solder them back on as shown in the CT diagram.  Thanks for your help!

Did you test the switch against the legend? If you do that first, then you can eliminate it as the cause of your problem(s).

I'm sure you know this already (sorry Tony), but horn runs off the battery and lights off the engine and with key in second click round. Presumably you've tested the horn and headlight by wiring them direct to a battery?

I'm a complete moron when it comes to electrical, I don't even know where to begin testing or how.  and I just found out my solder job didn't hold on two of the wires.  Pulling my hair out from frustration!

Well, look on the bright side - at least you have some hair left to pull out!

Do you have a volt meter or a test lamp?

LOL yeah hair I've got, electrical savvy not so much!  I have both volt meter and test light, as for volt meter the most I can reliably do is test voltage but I did probe around with the test light to see if I was getting anything to any of the connections and I got nothing on any of them, good news is I still have spark, worse new is my third joint failed also, guess I suck at soldering too! I'm doing the impossible search for a new key switch with not much luck...

See attached wiring diagram for the CT2/3 and in the top right corner is the legend.

Turn the switch into the first "on" position, connect a wire from one of the battery terminals (doesn't matter which) to the end of the red wire from the switch, the test light clamp to the other battery terminal and finally the test light probe to the end of the brown wire - the lamp should light up. Repeat this exercise with the green and white wires.

With the switch in the second "on" position, you're testing red with brown, red with blue, brown with blue, white with green/red and blue/white with yellow.

I don't even attempt soldering, I get my mate to do it for me.

I make new ignition harnesses.
You could send it in and have the old one replaced.
I have seen 3 different versions of that contact plate on DT1/2/3 and RT1/2/3
