Bartman512:

Are the ones that you bought the original color (pearl/yellow gold that looks orange) ? I'm looking for a piece that I can leave at my local paint shop to match the color. Doesn't have to be functional just needs to have a spot with good color. If you have one of that description what would you want for it? $$$$$

The one i got that's half decent is stripped of paint and the sight glass is facing aft so not sure what yr or model it came off of., although it fits in my DT2 frame. Also has a leaking banjo fitting on the bottom for the oil to pump line.

If it's got a banjo fitment, then I'd suggest it's for a DT1, as the DT2 onwards had the hose fitting over a connection like on the carb and fuel tap.

If the dents are near the oil fill tube I was able to get enough access by grinding off the back edge of the fill tube then prying out the flat back. I reinstalled then filled the edges with oil resistant JB weld.
