only option? 180 $ for a set from Australia s really steep considering their 25$ per set for bultaco or montesa , age old issue I suppose, Yamaha tank badges have been overpriced a long long time , ....still looking

From a distance they look good, but within 5 feet it becomes obvious that they are incorrect. I tried drilling holes and installing with the original mounting screws to enhance the appearance, helped a bit. They are certainly better than no badges, or cracked/damaged badges, and are an inexpensive and passable alternative to genuine Yamaha badges if you are not overly concerned about authenticity. Personally, I would not use them again.

There is the mounting issue dilemma, stick on or drill. But the biggest thing that stands out with these is the font is all wrong.
Allrighty Then

The EuroDirt ones are trash. Those black eBay ones look good but 50 a piece, ouch.

They do look correct - Speed and Sport is usually good quality, but not cheap. I can tell you that last set of OEM that I snagged about 10 years ago were about (too cheap to disclose!) off Ebay. The other ones were going for over $400 per set then. They are pretty sweet. The original price for a replacement from Yamaha was about $8.00 per side. No, mine are not for sale.
IF it isn't one thing, it's another.
