Stator was created by kitkatman

Hi Everyone,  I have two stators, one is FZA - 1BL  ( E3 ) fitted to an RT2  the other is a FZC - 1A1L (G-6) with the advance lever for setting the timing which is fitted to my RT1. Can someone tell me what is the difference between them apart from the lever. What difference would it make if you swapped them over complete with rotor, and what does code in brackets mean. Thanks in advance. Alan.

Well, just my 2 cents worth but i think it'd be good to have 'that mag' right through to RT3.
Would have to swap it as a complete unit because of differences caused by running a fat cam & stator plate that allows for points to sit further away from the crank.
I think possibly the reason yamaha stopped using that system is it was more expensive to manufacture.
[& they wanted to sell more kick gears & cases--no not that sorry] but more likely because the parts that wear out like the slot the spring arm fits in on the cam & spring arm pivot wear & stuff like that, so decided to keep it simple.
Just my warped theories haha & don't let me sway you one way or other.
