Hi all,
New bike day! I could not pass up this nice '69 AT1E. 95% complete with matching numbers and a clean title,. 2 extra gas tanks, vapor blasted carb, and various tidbits. I'm stoked!!

The clear title is the best part! It's been on California non-op for years. I hope to get it in my name ASAP.

Awesome! I always loved the white AT-1s, and that one looks 100% original to me. Good luck with the title transfer, and I hope you have less push-back/jerk-around from the CA DMV than I had. Took about 6 trips, even though my CT-1 had been placed non-op 30 years prior BY ME, and was registered in my name back then, it didn't show up on their system. I think after a number of years, they all fall off.

They also claimed the original blue/yellow plate was not original, when it was. I know because my dad bought the bike in 1971. I had an $80 vin checker come to my home to verify it (before I had it road-worthy) but ultimately, DMV required me to take it by a CHP office, so I rented a U-haul moto trailer to take it there. The CHP officer just rolled his eyes and said "that's the DMV for you".

At my last DMV visit, after I'd jumped all their hoops, one a-hole tried to charge me for the 30 years, saying I couldn't prove it was non-op all those years. I basically told him to eff-off and give me the effing title, that every time I came in I got a different story, and he finally told the other DMV drone to do it. BTW, I ended up with a modern plate, and just keep the original one on the wall in my garage.
