DT1C Correct Carb Float Height? was created by Syd
Hello - Can anyone advise what is the correct float height is for a Yamaha model DT1C 250. I have two DT1 service books and one says it is 14.1mm and the other 15.8mm? Thanks

I have 3 DT1 250's, 68,70 and 71 Or had 3 now 2 and i set them at 15.1mm. I think 14.1mm was for 68 and or 69 models. Not sure about 15.8mm? I do know 15.1mm looks about right and level.

Upside Down the brass float tab should be completely horizontal at a 90 degree angle matching the float chamber gasket. You do not need a measuring device. Just imagine the top of a T ..
