Seat Interchange DT1E 250 1971 - DT2 1972 was created by paoloventuri

Hi there, did the seats change between these years enough to make a 72 seat pan not fit on a 71 frame? I'm still looking for a seat stopper and bracket for my 71, and may have found a seat that looks like a 72.  I am hoping the stopper and maybe even the pan would fit. Thanks very much.

Frame changed a but between DT1 & DT2 & my seat [comparing new bikes] wasn't as comfy on the DT2, & think slightly longer. I'm talking bikes we got down here in Oceania NZ etc. I always felt the frame seat area very slightly angled downhill towards the rear--but maybe not. I think seat hinges could be further apart too but someone will know for sure.

If it’s like the AT and CT  71 and 72 will not interchange because of the exhaust bracket is mounted under the seat on the 72,73’s instead of on the shock the hinge spacing is different on the 72,73

If it’s the stopper arm you need check the partzilla RT325 sent so a 72 would work if that’s what you need
