A. But you can roll it in glitter was created by shyted

So what's the question ?

If you like the color ( colour if you want to spell it proper ) then go and come up with the question.
In all fairness this CT1 and a bit ,was a bargain as i got two engines and a ruck of spares .
It starts first kick, noisier the Maico 440 , is the only bike i have that you can clearly hear the horn on that doesn't sound like a fart in a trance,
it has a mint GYTR pipe on that hangs at an unusual angle and the front brake has you knowing you're going to stop.
It looks yellow but it's not. It's one of those colours that some one thought " Yeah, that will save a few bob,i 'll use that " .
Guy i bought it off was no rogue. Honest as they come. His house was full of bikes in bits and i enjoyed talking to him.

Most of the frame was included in the sale !

It has an independent lighting system that works a treat.
It powers the horn, lights and it's all LED and works off a key.
It runs on mix and i'm not changing it.
My plan is to add  a  TY 175 style lighting kit, paint it white like a DT/AT 1 with silver mudguards.
Those back shocks aren't worth a blow on a rag and bone mans trumpet. The shock is they don't absorb any shocks.
Repair the frame and repaint it ,hang the pipe in the right place and sort it out.
Make a false oil tank to take the battery and on off switch.
Then i'm going to ring it's neck off and on road and generally living out my desert racing fantasy .

Everything’s good except the color {coluar-colauer etc ) of the paint , looks like something a highway department flagger picked out to match his vest.
However the outstanding style of those bikes can be painted anything and look OK ....

Don't you think that seat cover looks like Mike Jacksons thriller jacket ?

They don't do anything and are half the size they should be . Cheap Chinese crap.
You can have them if you want . Just pay postage and i'll send them to you gladly .

Morning Al.
Thanks. I'm on with it now to make sure it will do the outing that Pete's planning.
Going to weld the frame today and make the bracket to fit the pipe proper. Cleaning all that reflective jacket green paint off today as well. I have done the back mudguard . It was on so thick it was still soft underneath . Under that primer of coarse and then blue paint, then primer, then black paint , primer over the original Yamaha silver paint.
They're never going to rust that's for sure.
Bike and stuff a gift .I have a YZ 125 pipe there as well and a 1975 175MX Cylinder head.
Salisbury plain here we come.

That is an AT2MX pipe - looks good too. To make it fit well you will need to cut some fins on your cylinder. AT1MX and AT2MX cylinders had sections of fins removed for the pipes and the CT cylinders are even bigger. This would be adding to why it is sitting oddly. Also CT1 mounts exhaust at shock mount while AT2MX mounts under seat.
