Sounds like a strong repair. After I removed liner I opened up the seams a bit with an ice pick and soaked tank standing up in evaporust to clean things up. So I had nice clean bare metal inside and out. Then fit a small steel wire into seam and pinched them back up but left a slight opening for solder to flow into. I just worry that anything short of welding or good brazing job will eventually develop hairline cracks again from engine vibration and riding. Plan on keeping the bike forever so not in a hurry to get tank painted, just want it to be the last time when I do! Should have used a white primer I guess haha. Let us know how it holds up!
