Could someone tell me what colour the air box and battery holder should be on my 1970 RT1 360 please. I have seen them black, silver and what looks like polished aluminium.  The colour of the bike is black  and yellow as original. Thanks  Alan.

I am also restoring a 1970 RT1 that I know has never been changed since leaving dealership.  Both are black.

The air box that holds the air filter should be zinc coated. This can look like silver or polished aluminum depending on what someone has done to it...polished for example. Should look like the zinc bolts you but at a hardware store.  The battery box should be black. The little "holder" that goes across the top should be zinc.  The black air boxes didn't come along until 72...and were a different design.  

Airbox on mine is zinc plated, not black.
Battery box is black.

Thanks everyone, Zinc and Black it is. Now all I need now is a correct cover for the airbox.
