1971 DT1 Fork Tubes was created by tjcin

I started what wasn't going to be a major restoration. Just a paint and clean up. Obviously you know what's happening. I took it apart today and I want it nicer than just a cleanup. The frame has some surface rust and with new paint on the tank and fenders I'm not gonna be satisfied. So the frame is going to get powdercoated or painted. Anyway, the fork tube have some rust at the triple clamp. Anyone have a good used set? How about other bikes that might work? Thanks Tim C

I purchased a new set from DC Plastics on Ebay. Dachi brand made in Japan. They were for my 71 RT1B. Love um. My old ones had rust and a bend. New ones with no flaws and guaranteed straight. Look on Ebay and search Dachi fork tubes or something similar. I am watching them now...I think they say more than 10 sets available. I bought the last set they had about 6 months ago. They aren't always available. I think $250 shipped to you in the US.

X2 on the Dachis, very nice pieces. Fit is exact, finish is exceptional.
