Greenhouse is pretty well sealed up, although clearly a small enough gap or two for a small bird to get through.

Short of hermetically sealing a storage unit/ vehicle, there's not a lot we can do to stop a determined bird, rodent, hibernating queen wasp etc from taking up residence.

I’ve got a big time problem with wasps this year dogwoods are blooming sprayed the sh*t out of there nests can’t even open the garage.

Just wait a few weeks when the historic cicada event will hit...  billions of 2 species of the insects will hatch this spring mostly in the eastern US. 

Last time a "locust plague" of this magnitude happened was way back in 1805...  won't happen again for another 200+ years.

Also, I have an old RD200 silencer in the greenhouse (which, by the by, probably IS a graveyard part!) and I noticed the other week that a mouse had stashed about a dozen Freesia bulbs in there!

I once took the air cleaner lid off an old carburated Chevy truck to check the air filter. I found it held at least a couple cups of dry dog food. Mice had stashed a lifetime supply in there.

By and large, I'm happy to encourage native wildlife in my garden, but that was abusing my hospitality!

I guess I could sell any knackered headlight buckets as nest boxes!
