P.S. The turn signal indicator is the only bulb that can't be polarity sensitive... polarity changes on the wires as you switch from right to left.

Ok so the moral of the story is if you want to switch to the LED bulbs, buy the bulbs that are not polarity sensative. I just looked at the Superbright Web site and the B9 base bulbs like I have are not polarity sensative. Wow that makes it easy. Now I'm going to order an amber for my 250A and a set for my RT2 tach, speedo and tail light.

I went to extract my bulbs out of the Speedo & Tach... that rubber grommet/gizmo fell apart... Dag Nabbit... I only looked at Partzilla and they don't carry them... I may just use silicone to secure them in place... It seems you can easily remove it should I have to replace bulbs... I hope..

Use eiko A62 6v 3w bulbs for your instruments. Stanley 1129 single filament for your turn signals. I think the 6 v tail light is a 1154. These are avaliable at your auto parts store.

Can you use a short piece of rubber hose, something with an ID that fits close to the bulb socket and an OD fits close to the tach / speedo. Slip piece of hose over bulb socket, insert bulb and slip into tach / speedo. Once tach and speedo are on the bracket, shouldn't be able to come out. And using the LED bulbs you may never need to remove them.

Oops sorry, I was thinking of my 250A. Looking at my RT I see the two bulbs that are in the very front of tach and speedo that's not covered by the bracket. Might still work with a little RTV to glue in place.

This seller on ebay has a whole bunch of auctions for $5 with various meter bulb harnesses. Probably can find one that works?

Thank you Mark! I ordered it!
Since the harness is off the bike, I'm cleaning up the connectors and applying electro grease.. I know my tinkerings are slow.. but they are steady! (:
