Off the top of my head I dont know what function the green wire carries out - you used to be able to download the fitting instructions form the Rex's website.
I will take a look at the wiring diagram and let you know.

I know this is an old thread but it seemed like the best place to post.
I'm doing the electronic ignition / 12v upgrade from Rex's Speed Shop. I have purchased the essential ignition kit and had intended to purchase their 12v additional kit with lights/relays/horn/etc but it was out of stock.
The kit includes the ignition/charging stator, ignition coil, ignition module, voltage R/R
So, what I'm searching for is hopefully a compiled list of the following;
1. The various suitable 12v bulbs (LED might be nice but I can work from the incandescent numbers), including the headlight. I'm assuming a basic 5 3/4" sealed beam, hopefully for motorcycle use. I have an H4 headlight but not positive it will fit. There's a pretty good chance I will replace the stock turn signals with smaller units and store the ones I have, so that might solve itself.
2. Turn signal relay (3 pin or 4 pin?)
3. A suitable gel/solid state/maybe LiFe battery. I'd prefer not to go Lead Acid / AGM if possible. I really like LiFe but not sure the charging voltage will be up to the task.
4. For the horn I think I have a couple laying around.
I've searched a fair bit for a list and maybe it's buried in an build thread or ??? but I haven't found one yet.
Thanks

I am testing this combo. was working on this today actually.
Sylvania 1141 for turn signals. (OReilly Auto Parts) (also, partzilla shows 12v bulbs in stock for DT125A)
Sylvania 1891 instruments. (though I think this bulb is a little taller than I want when finished)
LF1-S-PIN 2 Pin turn signal. (recommended by Makotosun in separate thread) amazon
Found a 5-3/4 on ebay for headlamp. Seems to work well, just need to make sure its snug too.
according to VAPE can use a 6 or 12v horn.
I'm a little concerned about the instrument bulbs producing too much heat high in the chamber, but I'm probably over thinking it. So far, this combo looks good as far as lighting. The LF1 was just too easy to install. I did end up cutting off connectors and putting my bullet connectors on.

Dont know about the Rex conversion kit, but VAPE excludes a Li-battery in their manual.
No idea, why, but please check the Rex manual, if its allowed.

Can you post the specs or a link to that battery?
I've run LiPos in my R/C cars, they are a bit tempermental, I'd prefer a LiFe battery for the bike but your LiPo spec will be a good start.

I checked the Rex's installation instructions and it doesn't mention anything about the battery. I will ask them about the battery options directly.
