The turbine thing on these flings the exhaust against the walls, theory is the embers burn up before exiting.
It does do something with the noise but I doubt on a SPL level not measurable, probably tone a little.

They always flex and break the little welds. Usually found rattling around somewhere.

Cliff - from Michigan ! Yes I am Andy_C from the UK on KTOG as well.

Anyway, the little turbine like structure in mine is very much intact and that is the way it will stay, unless there is performance to be gained by its removal !
Ex Yam DT400C, Triumph Trident 660, Triumph 865, Kawasaki KH 400
