Hello If you are going to get a new ignition I would go with the Vape system I have one on my DT 360 and it’s a great ignition. Several here use it. You can buy it directly for a cheaper amount
Thanks Mark

www.vape.eu/
Is this the site you were at? If it was, in the upper right hand corner there is a box to select language. En (English). If it was another, maybe it will have similar translation. Good luck!

On that link there's a very interesting video if you've got the time. I'm halfway thorough it at the moment. Bit up market for me but sure looks like they know what they're doing.

I have this one on my 74 DT360:
www.powerdynamo.biz/eng/systems/7238/7238acmain.htm

It was super easy to install, and works well. I'm still tuning my carb before I give it a true test, but the ignition was plug and play. All you have to do is align the timing marks on the magneto and stator at .114" BTDC. This model does not support charging a battery and may not be legal for you. For me, it wasn't an issue.

Nice looking 360! I hope to get mine running very soon - my goal is July 4.

I'm sure glad for the extremely helpful and generous guys on this site! I almost gave up a while back but their help has me reinspired.

PowerDynamo is now VAPE from what I read.
A complete VAPE system is quite expensive compared to REX Speed Shop out of the UK, but Im going to try swapping a few parts Doug has offered to loan me before I get to the point of buying all new.
Thanks again for the input

replaced the coil, still starting fine but running backwards. Have a new dial gauge on order even though the old one worked perfectly [one can NEVER have too many tools], so I put it aside and went back to working on my Kawasaki A7SS and a newly acquired Honda CB750 K0 1970.........
