Have you checked the ring end gap in the cylinder? For some reason those rings look big... probably just me.

Umm, simple green--ok, who woulda thought. Ring peg looks like it's had a bit of a beating on one side.

That's unusual... Yamaha rings are usually on the edge of a "too big" gap. Strange to have rings at lower end of range in a worn bore.
Can you take a magnifying glass and check stampings in top of rings near gap?

Shouldn't tell ya but--i just hold them up to the light & yep she'll be good--not recommended lol but not had a problem. Wonder how much they actually grow to close the gap in reality.
Ring peg looks hollow so i dunno--it'll be ok till ya bore it i guess.

Can't see any size number like .25 on the top edge of rings in your pics... so probably are standard. Just unusual to see a tight ring gap.
(I've seen a lot of mis-boxed parts so always pays to check)

Thanks Mark. I think it should be okay. Waiting for a bottom. Gasket, and stuff to hone cylinder with. Hopefully soon.
