LT3 Parts Interchange was created by JMKady
Picked up this little LT3 yesterday kinda spur of the moment because it was dirt cheap. Since getting it home and the initial triage it seems they aren't particularly common bikes and this one needs a lot of love to be a runner it sat outside for quite a while. Are there any other 100cc models that share internal parts with these bikes if it ends up being more than a bearing/seal job?

'72 LT2 is the same except for the paint. Some of the '71 HT parts are interchangeable.
This one is original, unrestored. Gets a lot of attention.

speaking of the LTs does anyone know if the single toggle LH/Horn/turn signal switch could interchange with the two switch handle from an LS model? I assume the second toggle is an engine kill switch which I don't think the LTs used. I figure I could just not use that second switch or maybe remove the internals so it's close to NOS. I have the original handle in good shape except the LH toggle is broken off. I don't know if those toggles can be purchased anywhere as a separate piece. I'm already looking at having DEET restore a '69 switch but wanted to try to fix this one myself.

If you do the research... I have the toggle from the LH blinker from an RT2... If it'll work, we can get to you.. I like to see it has a home rather than a box out in the shed...

Many models used the YHA205 switchgear (see the id stamp on the underside) in various formats. I have seen them with and without every individual switch, with what is not used fitted with a blanking part (apart from the horn, which sometimes doesn't have the hole for the button drilled).
The YHA205 internals are interchangeable with SOME of the YHA206 internals. However, care needs to be taken, as later YHA206 switchgear had thicker switch stems and therefore wider holes in the switch body.
The upper, black part of the switch was/is available as a separate part, but not the inner part that sits in the body, and which is the part that always gets broken! There is a chap here in the UK that 3D prints replacements (I have bought two from him) and I'm sure that someone in the US must be able to do this.
Sitting on the bike, the left toggle is usually high/low beam and the right one is lights on/off.

Sneezles that is a generous offer and one I would love to take you up on. If the stamp is the same sounds as though it will fit. I'll PM you. This little LT2 had all if it's lights and controls stripped before I got it. I've slowly been bringing it back to its original configuration. Still more to do.
