RT1 PISTON RINGS was created by kitkatman

Hi Everyone,  Just got the cylinder back from getting it rebored to + 75, my question is does it matter which ring goes in which groove in the piston,ie certain one for top or does it not matter. Thanks in advance   Alan.

My guess is if the rings look the same & have same numbers etched into the top face near the gap & Bothe have expanders then must be interchangeable. That's my guess without seeing what you have. Think originals were green faced on mine. Not sure they ran keystone tapered rings back then but it'll be obvious if the are. If so then likely both grooves will be keystone. Quite fat ring on those. Miss my RT1 now & love the old piston port motors.
