Wanted DT1 44T Rear Sprocket was created by swm
Need an original 44 tooth DT1 rear sprocket for a restoration. Very common from 1968-73, maybe other years. I have several but teeth are worn.
Thanks

They have always been needles in haystacks they all wear out and nearly impossible to secure. I will check but most sprockets I have are CT1 and won’t work.

There's an ebay vendor in the States call mytrashyourtreasure. I bought 2 NOS ones off him a few weeks ago. They weren't cheap and i faced a bill of $450 plus shipping. Maybe see his ebay store. He maybe has something.

shyted,
Good suggestion, they have great inventory of rear sprockets but none of the early 44T.
Much appreciated!!

Sprocket Specialist will make a sprocket for you and if you tell them you need it to look exactly
like that one they can and will make it. It will be an alloy, and you may need to send them your
old one to get measurements off of it.

I faced the same issue when rebuilding my DT1 .
I bought a 520 44T sprocket blank , had the holes laser cut to match original pattern , and then had it zinc plated .
It was an expensive exercise , but worked out well . It looked perfect .

I appreciate the excellent suggestions. I'll reach out to Sprocket Specialist - I have couple Yamaha NOS 44T sprockets where the six holes are smaller diameter than what I need. If SS will simply enlarge holes to match the early 44T I'll be golden. Much appreciated!!
