Been Awhile... but still out there... was created by Sarge
Been some time since I last posted so way overdue! One of the first things I noticed is the message about the inability to post pictures (which unfortunately was something I was hoping to do). Also discovered only one post under the "Special Tools" sub-forum. Apparently the extensive post I crafted (and others continued to add to) from YE.C, which I brought over to this Forum some years ago, is MIA? If so, and the photo issue gets resolved, I still have all the text and pics to restore it. Certainly would not want this surviving site to go the way of YE.C. In any event, still have my three Enduros...CT1, CT1B & DT1E and a host of spares, rims, etc. Most recent find was a few years back got a 69 AT1 at my local swapmeet for $50.00. No title and missing some parts, but the majority was still pretty decent considering. Seller thought there were some instruments, etc. but never returned my calls to inquire further (hard to believe, right!). BTW, noted there is another member w/UUID of "SARGE". Just remember, I am the original one (Sarge)...

Welcome back!
I found and restored a few "archived" threads so you might take another look and see if what you were looking for is back.
And yes, unfortunately you need to use a third party like Imgur to host new photos for now.
Finally, I doubt there is another member with your exact ID. What happens if a user leaves here is their posts will show YOUR ID even though you didn't write the post. Everyone looking at that post will see their own ID listed as the author. It's a little odd and unsettling but not a duplicate user.

Mark:
Thanks for your post. Unfortunate situation in regards to the posting of photos. For those whom have been around awhile, Photobucket used to be the number one hosting service for pictures. However, in 2017 when they started charging to host 3rd party pictures (and even blocking users from retrieving images posted on their site), have always been leery of image hosting sites. However, have not heard of any issues w/IMGUR.
Thanks for restoring the Tools of the Trade posts. Am pleased to find they remain intact with accompanying photos. I still look for such items at yard sales and the swapmeet in my area and every so often fine something.

Photobucket was the second major photo hosting company to cause issues with forum pictures on the original YE forum that I remember... I can't remember the name of the first one but I kind of remember they had issues and disappeared. Not like those bastards at Photobucket that enticed people to upload their photos free and then one day held them all hostage if you didn't pay. I still get emails from Photobucket trying to get me to subscribe to save my uploaded photos.
Imgur is more of a "standalone" site where people post and you can scroll for hours looking at memes, etc. So hopefully they'll stay around and continue to allow linking to photos hosted there.

Hey Sarge, I bought those green AT1tins from you some years ago on YE. Was Fine69 handle there. Still have not put them to use, in your shipping boxes on the shelf! Wonderful to see you back, hope all is well.

I remember you over at YAMAHAENDURO.COM. There was TONS AND TONS of great info there that is now lost. I don't come to this site as often as I did on the other site but from what I can gather a whole bunch of those guys are here now maybe and maybe some of them have different names though like you do.
