Sale was created by MarkT
Recent major life events and a stark realization that I probably won't ever have time to complete all the projects or enjoy all the bikes I've collected over the years is prompting me to sell off most of my fairly large collection of bikes, project bikes, and parts as soon as possible.
Most will probably be listed on FB or Craigslist... I just wanted to let my friends here know as I'd prefer they go to a good home.
Conditions are you must be able to pick up or arrange pickup in the Las Vegas area and strongly prefer cash only... I may not accept "electronic" payment depending on how I feel that day.

Just in case it wasn't clear, I will not arrange shipping!
Partial List of bikes from memory...
1964 Yamaha MG1T, title, $800
1970 CT1b - no title- no lights installed - Preston Petty fender (I probably have nearly all the parts to make street legal I can include) Aftermaket pipe, Webco pegs, top end needs to be reinstalled, good condition. Perfect candidate for a restoration or play bike. $500
1970 CT1b - has title - all street gear. Engine disassembled but in great shape,. Sleeper pipe. $800 (May assemble if I get time and then the price will go up)
1973 AT3MX Title. Strong runner, Super fun bike. Has aftermarket pipe and Biro air filter. Sale will include original (very rare) air box and pipe. $1000
1975 DT250b - Title - barn find- good compression- wiring harness and some parts were removed by previous owner when removing harness, looks complete. has a couple luggage racks, one modified AT/CT and one that looks NOS. $600
1976 DT175c Title. good condition $1000
1981 DT175g title good condition $1000
1981 DT175g title good condition, engine needs rebuild, will include good top end. $600
1988 DT50 title - good condition - $500
1988 DT50 title - excellent condition - $1000 (I spent a lot of time and money on this one)
1990 Super DT50... title - not much of original bike left. Basically YZ85 engine and suspension. Race Tech suspension set up for adult. Ridiculous amount of time and money spent on this super fun little bike. $2000
2017 XT250 title Race Tech suspension great bike $2000
Non-Yamaha
1973 TS400, title completely restored, beautiful bike. may need carb cleaned, etc as it's been sitting $4000
1974 TS400 title, project bike, I've collected hundreds of dollars of parts that go with it including original carb and pipe with very hard to find original muffler. $500
Two 1976 1/2 Husqvarna 250CR... titles. Great condition survivors, one has had new tires, shocks, etc installed, the other is still original. These are special edition copies of the bike Mikkola used to win the 1976 championship... including the Ohlins designed "through the frame" exhaust, first model without side pipe. $4000 each
I have a ton of parts for most of these bikes... members that pick up will likely leave with some spares and extras thrown in. Major objective is "easy"... so no, I will not box up or arrange shipping for anything.
I am keeping a few bikes... maybe some of the above as it's hard for me to let any of them go! It's just time to let someone else have a shot at enjoying them.
P.S. Prices are below what I have invested in these bikes... if all sell, I will take a substantial loss... not even considering inflation! I believe all are priced extremely fairly.

Wow that's a major life decision you must've thought hard about.
I live on the wrong side of the world or "in my dreams" i'd take the lot. Then realise i'm getting past it.
I'd love those 250 CR Huskies. The Yamaha shop where i worked sold Husqvarna too back then in "76.
Hope they all go to a good home.

You should reach out to Kaplan Cycles. He is the only guy I can think of that may be interested in the whole lot. Not sure if he is big onto finishing projects or if he simply tries to flip them. I wish you the best of luck Mark. I will be in the same situation one day.

Thank you Schu. And they absolutely don't need to be sold as one lot. I'd prefer to sell one here and there to "hobbyists" that want to build and/or get a good bike.
(selling to Kaplan is not my idea of a "good home". Not that flipping bikes and making money are bad things...)

Thank you RT325, yes, those Husky's of that era are amazing... very light and super fast... pretty much a handbuilt "works" bike that you could buy

If you fancied a holiday in the UK and have a nice CT1C petrol tank, then you could pop it into your suitcase!

Don't forget, Mark, that I have low standards. In fact, an ex army nco mate of mine was always telling me that I had low standards, and failed to meet them!

I spent a month in the UK several years ago... about half in London (stayed in Chelsea) and the other half exploring the birthplace of the industrial revolution with my friend Kimberly who lived in the West Midlands at the time. I had a great time and felt at home there... the oddest part was that I seemed to instinctively know my way around the often wonky streets of London even though I'd never been there before.
I wish another trip there was on the horizon... but nothing planned at the moment.
