CT3 - 135 miles after rebore. was created by Bdee

I used yamaha piston and rings and had it bored out by Bill Bune Enterprises.   I see some scoring. on the intake side of the cylinder.  I can just barely feel the ridges passing a finger nail across them.

Is this a major issue?

What was the reason you pulled the head. If it was running ok its best not to look--me thinks.

I  am hearing what I would call a howl.  It's barely perceptible but I don't think I heard it before the new top end.

did you wash the cylinder with detergent after boring and before assembling?
scores look like contamination got in (e.g. intake), or was in (some grit from boring)
howling could be intake noise?

no I did not wash with detergent.

I wiped it down with a rag soaked in acetone and blew it out with compressed air.  dam.  I forgot the detergent.
