Carb for 1975 DT175 was created by DT175DOUG

OK Folks,
I'm in need of a new carb (#443-14101-62-00) for my 1975 Yamaha DT175 to replace the Chinese one on it.
What other carbs would work without any changes? 1974, 1976?  125cc, 250cc?

Also need a Lower Throttle Cable # 443-26312-01-00

What Yamaha parts vendors have you dealt with and could recommend?

On the Yamaha Parts Nation website they show all of these parts, but they don't state if they are in stock or not. After reading some reviews on them (Cycle Nation) they were showing 1 out of 5 stars. I need these parts fairlt quickly so I want to get it right the first time rather than waiting forever only to find out they don't have them.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

Check with a reputable dealer website like RMATV-MC.  Rocky Mountain won't show parts as available when they aren't... unless Yamaha made a mistake.  Those other places show parts that don't exist, take your money for a while, and then refund you.  Very common these days.

RMATV-MC got me a brand new carb for my 1988 DT50 in a couple days.

Maybe I’m missing something but I’ve tried using Rocky Mtn on a few occasions but the application menu seems to stop at 1976 and doesn’t include all models. I’m sure they have some generic parts like handlebars. Obviously your experience is different and they are a site supporter so I’d continue trying to figure out how to support them as well. Doug has a 75 so thought worth mentioning.

On the RM Yamaha OEM parts finder page for motorcycle the year goes back to 1962.  Not sure why you can't see older than 76?

P.S.  I took a look and new carb not available.

, but I'm sure that I read here of someone buying a new Mikuni carb (from user # racerclam?) and just having to tap a hole in the new carb for the oil feed line. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

I see...when you choose dual sport as the type it stops at 1976 but if you leave that blank it extends the years to 1966. Still pretty odd as I get a radiator cap as an applicable part for a 1972 CT2 when just playing around. Thanks Mark. I'll mess around with it after work and will see how I can utilize them.

NVM. I see now...choose OEM parts and the whole story changes. Lots of availability on things. I stand corrected.

Thanks Mark. It took me awhile to figure that site out too. My mechanic had found an OEM 1976 DT175 carb on that site, but by the next day it was gone. I missed it! :-(
I ended up buying a used original carb off Fleabay that looks to be in great condition.
We are also good on the lower throttle cable that I needed. Found one.

Thanks guys for all of your help and input. I now have a carb and lower throttle cable.

Any idea where I can get the 6v light bulbs for the speedo and tach?
I needed 5, but was able to buy the last two on Partzilla. Looking for 3 more. Part #122-83516-10-xx
Any suppliers you could recommend?
Thanks,
Doug
