Pulled the magneto , cleaned ,replaced points and condenser. After reinstalling magneto I can not seem to get the points to open. The old points are a tad longer but when I cleaned them and reinstalled them the same thing. L
I can not even get a big enough gap to stick a feeler guage in them.  New points from Niche. Any  suggestions?

Thought I would leave this post up. I got the points to work properly as the bottom guide post on the main assembly was not seated right. I cleaned the guide hole and reinserted then tapped and verified the points were flush and dang if it didn't work. sorry for the post but I was getting hot here in Phoenix.

All good info. We all get things wrong once in a while, but there's great satisfaction in sorting it yourself. Keep up the good work.

Good info, thanks.  If I don't convert to CDI, this will probably be helpful the next time I check or change mine.
