I have checked the rims and they are fine but thanks for the advice. The engine runs great. It's had new bushes, bearings powder coated frame, engine sand blasted and painted, new paint to tank and panels. Everything is original just can't find an oil pump! I will have to use premix for now. Hoping to have it finished next week. Cheers Si

Talking needing an oil pump. It’s the first thing we removed along with the oil tank. Funny how life goes, now we want them back. Good luck with your search. Do you need the drive parts into the primary case or is all your system complete but leaking or otherwise faulty.

Got the drive part's just need oil pump it didn't have one when I bought it. I am restoring it to its original condition so that's the reason for the oil pump I understand it's probably better to pre mix the petrol.

Yep all good, i realize why, & be great to see it when finished. Admire the work you guys all do, pretty mind boggling for a lazy b$%ger like me. Ours were the silver color not the yellow US model color.

So in the US 73 mx bikes have silver tanks and 74 MX bikes were yellow, is that how the bikes were in your country?
Thanks Mark

I think yamaha only made the sc500 for the US and Canadian market .i live in the UK mine was imported from the US to the UK.
So can't buy any parts here. It's a yellow and black.
