To continue on this topic. Does anyone have the total length for pushrod 1 & 2 together? (with or without ball)

To add on my last question.Here are the lengths taken from NOS parts.
Long rod: 118.3mm
Ball: 3/16 or 4.76mm
Short rod: 62.6mm

That page shows a 77 Yamaha service bulletin, which might be of help?

I would guess all the cable lengths are going to be the same, but wonder if you have checked the clutch push rod adjustment?

I knew that changes were made... just didn't know when the ball showed back up, I didn't realize bulletin was 1977.  I thought it was earlier.  I will have to look through my docs and see if I can find a similar bulletin from Yamaha USA.

I have come across TYs with earlier long pushrod, and without the bearing they seem to wear a hole into the clutch operating mechanism, which then has to be changed.
