360 rt2 con rod kit was created by Paul360rt2uk

Seen some con rod kits available in the UK for 50 ish quid, some images show the word ROYAL on the con rod, I'm a weekend rider and not racing so wonder if it's worth fitting one ?   all advice greatly appreciated.

Not a bad idea if you're in the engine... I wouldn't reuse an old rod if you've gone that far. Rod, bearing, pin and washers should always be replaced as a set.

I also wouldn't buy a cheap kit. Quality is often suspect and the rod is a critical part.

Places like Vintco www.vintco.com/Yamaha-YZ250-1983-89-YZ36...3-Connecting-Rod-Kit and Bike Buzzard on ebay (US) have kits.

I have sold and fitted 1000's of Royal rod ktis with no issues. I have had special rods made by Royal for me for 125 cc Engines with a genuine 40 BHP at the crank, Zero issues.

They make rods for other brands, some are mentioned here in this thread.

The rod will be a YZ250 rod of some sort

They are a very good quality product

I just got a kit for my DT3 project from Bike Buzzard. Looks to be of great quality. I contacted him before I purchased it. Asked my questions. And promptly ordered the correct kit for my project. Good Luck.
