Flywheel Puller for 72 DT2 was created by isaacbenharrison@gmail.com

Hey all, I was looking for what size puller I would need for my 72 dt2. I’ve gotten a 27x1 and it didn’t fit. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

If it's the original points ignition the Motion Pro 08-0026 is a great one.  Lots of cheap ones for maybe $5 less...  you'll wish you got a good one if threads on the cheap one strip and damage the internal flywheel threads.  Don't ask me how I know.

27mm x 1.0 left hand thread

It's a fine thread and you turn the body of the puller counterclockwise to thread it into the flywheel.

Sometimes wire brushing the threads in the flywheel helps...  also make sure you remove all the washers on the end of crank so puller can thread in all the way.

If you have a 27 x 1 LH thread and it's not even close it might have an aftermarket CDI or something.

Welcome & please post a pic of your flywheel if correct 27X1 lefthand thread doesn't fit incase its got some unusual magneto on it. I'm curious & interested if it 'is' different as good to know what fits.
