2FastMoto tank badges was created by nhsteve

I am looking at a pair of tank badges for a 1970 AT1 by 2FastMoto (they are on eBay). Made of brass not plastic (!!!

). I think some other forum members have also used, as I spotted a thread on these in a 'search'. The pics shown are from 2021 though.

My question is: how well do they fit? Do they conform to the curvature of the tank? I can visualize a badge made of any metal not really bending to match the tank unless the maker did so in the manufacturing process. Being brass perhaps they are cast so the mold has accounted for this?

Anyway, if anyone is actually using them I would appreciate any feedback!
(Guess it isn't 2FastMoto but these look the same)

I can find plastic red badges but they are not correct for the 1970 AT1.

I would email these guys to see if they have any in stock...  prices are in Australian dollars which is running about 60% of a USD so about $55 USD each

There are some from the UK as well...  Ebay UK badges

The UK badges are made by a member here, they sometimes offer a discount for forum members and have metal and plastic as I remember.  So might be worth checking with them.

Steve, good to see you back.
Can't give any feedback on the brass badges but if you have the time it's possible to convert the red badges to black.
I did that a few month ago for my '69 CT1 project.

I’ve got a set of the brass, but just haven’t put them on yet . I will say though, I had a new set of plastic badges. The tank was sitting on a work bench in the cold garage (maybe I over tightened them as well?) and they broke in half on my tank. Good way to burn through $90 CAD lol. Brass is the future

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah, life got busy. I did look at the mellow yellow ones. He used to supply Yambits in the UK, which is a pretty good source for parts, if you can wait for them. I have 3 master cylinders for XS650 and RD400 on the bench for rebuild. They are the only source for the O-ring between the body and reservoir (which isn't called out on the parts diagram).

The red badges mentioned must be the ones from Speed and Sport? I did enquire from them at one point if they had or would get black ones made, Answer was in the negative.

Early stages for this rebuild, which I am really hoping this time will not take on a life of it's own!

I looked again at the MellowYellow ones. The website I had from earlier wasn't working but found on eBay.
I did like the Australian badge site. Oddly wasn't able to do more than look at the photos so if I decide to go with them, I will have to email them initially.
I have also emailed the brass badge guys in India, asking them whether or not they are slightly bento accommodate the compound curves of the tank(s), or are just flat as cast. I'll report back what they say.

As an update- the seller replied, and they are cast brass and therefore flat. No curvature at all. Would really like to see some mounted up. So will hold off for now until I get to that stage of the rebuild.

I thought mello yello quit making them due to time vs profit constraints.
