RT1 360 oil tank 1970 was created by Tinker man
Good afternoon,
I have the need of an oil tank for my 1970 RT1 360 after checking the parts lists and partzilla and CMS it seems they only made them to fit 1970/71 RT1 and RT1MX. Therefore as rare as can be.
has anyone managed to fit another tank from another model or year with some fabrication work? I could use premix but the bike looks odd without a tank.
any thoughts or ideas are welcome.
cheers, ian.

I love taking stuff to bits - putting back together is another thing altogether.

I have a '68 250, a '71 360, and a '71 250 plus several spare tanks. Physically they all appear the same, just different paint and decals.
'72 and '73 are different shape but look like they will fit. I have a bare '73 360 frame and a '68 tank does fit but looks different.
Send me a PM if you need a tank. I also have many other parts. All excellent condition.

The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

The '72/'73 tank will fit in the earlier frame but the single pin mount on the later frames are welded in a different orientation. To fit a '72/3 on a '70/'71 you will need to revised the pin location and angle.
