The AT1 (and supposedly CT1) expansion chamber has 1 day left with starting bid noted as $145 this time. It’s a nice pipe.

I bid on it. We will see what happens. Not in for much more than the start. Might find something at Barber next year. I have a GYT pipe that needs the shield fixed. Its pretty rusty but hopefully solid on the inside.

Congratulations!
Looks like you got the pipe. That’s a great pipe for that price. You will like it. They have a really nice old school crackle when you back off the throttle. Mine is on a CT1B and I love it. I did end up adding a silencer. The silencers can cost as much as the pipe, so you best grab one if you find one for $50 or less.

It arrived yesterday. It is in really good shape. What silencer did you pair with it? It looks to not have had one from factory. Even the gold made in japan sticker is perfect.

Glad to hear that it’s as nice as it looked in the photos. The silencer I added is a J&R Krizman. The inlet on the silencer was smaller than the outlet on my pipe, but it fit snugly inside the pipe, which isn’t the most desirable way to go, but it has worked out fine. I assumed I would have exhaust spooge blowing out around the connection, but it isn’t bad. I cut about 3 inches off the length of the stinger on the pipe so that the silencer wouldn’t stick out the back to far. You can’t see it in the photo, but I put a small self tapping screw thru the pipes to ensure they stay connected. I also rigged a band clamp with a strap to keep it from jiggling at the connection. Doesn’t look the best, but it’s good and solid.
I got the silencer for $35 and I haven’t seen one that cheap since. I have also bought a DG universal silencer that was in the same price range. I think it was a returned item because it was in the bargain section of Chaparral or one of those big online stores. Now the DG silencers are well over a hundred dollars! I will keep my eyes open for you as I do my daily shopping online.

This silencer on eBay might work. You can make a sleeve bushing if needed. It says make offer, so you could try $35 and see what he counters with.

Ok, I think I would offer $20 on this one and find a way to make it fit your outlet.
Sorry I don’t know how to attach the link, but you can copy and paste it in the eBay search. You would have to shorten the inlet pipe and maybe make a sleeve bushing. You won’t find one cheaper.

I have to get a bike going to put it on. In Georgia I dont think I need an arrestor. 18 wheelers coming by my house from the savannah port to plants on the west side of ga hauling Chinese junk will drown out anything including any 2 stroke sounds. I save a search for the kruzman brand as I was thinking they mfg the yamaha pipes. Thanks for your post!

I rode mine with the pipe straight open for several years. I loved the sound! And when I zipped by houses along the rural gravel roads many of the older fellas stop what they’re doing and give a big wave. They recognize a sound they haven’t heard in ages. I even had a guy wave me down so he could show me his barn bikes. He had some gems.
