Red wire. There should be 3 red wires with connectors in the vicinity of the battery. Two of the three red harness wires have female bullet connectors and should have a fuse holder connecting them together. The third has a male bullet connector that plugs into the female connector on the battery.

Not sure exactly which year model "CT1" you are working on?
From memory, the red to the battery on earlier harnesses comes out of the harness right where the rectifier wires enter the harness. Rectifier has a red and white going to it. A short section of red wire with the male bullet comes out right where the rectifier wires enter the taped harness.

DT2 - the red for the battery comes out closer to the front. Would have to go out to check on CT's but this was easier to photo.

My 71 CT1b is in storage and boxes at the moment. If you ID exactly which year model you have, I also have a box of wiring harnesses and can probably find a harness to send pics of if someone else doesn't have a pic on the bike.

I have a 69 CT1 just had the stator rebuilt by Ricks Electric they completly rebuilt it with new wiring one of the wires that came out of that was white with red rings around it I plugged that into the red wire of the harness which in hindsight is the red wire that goes to the battery
Problem now is I have 5 wires coming out of the stator and one wire that goes to the neutral switch I only have 4 wires left in the harness yet I have 5 wires from the stator
Could not be anymore confused that I am now
Does all the wires from the stator get plugged in or one thats not used?
Really be helpfull if I could face time or whatsapp with someone so they can see what I have and help me work through it
Trying to find wiring diagram for the 69 CT1 as my vin number is CT1-004822 and the diagrams I see are for the CT1A CT1B CT1C so which diagram do I look at as it does not have a CT1
My magneto has yellow black green gray and a white red wires I was able to match up these wires to my harness according to CT1A diagram the white/red wire is just hanging out
