Might be a silly question but, is it possible convert a DT 250 to a Dt 400 by switching piston cylinder and head?

If I'm not mistaken the stroke is different so you'd have to change the con rod too.

Unfortunately, no.  Pretty much need to swap engines.

(You can convert a 125 enduro to a 175 with a top end swap but that's the only "easy" one.)
