Hello, rebuilt my 78 DT 400 and the oil injector was not being used. I hooked everything back up and primed it and it seems to be working. Seems to be just pumping out a tiny bit of two-stroke oil at a time. I wanted to go ahead and build a Reservoir and use that system instead of premixing. But I want to make sure that it is pushing the foil into the carburetor. Just curious if anyone has any advice concerning how to know if it’s pumping enough. Thank you!

If you've blead it out the little pump side screw for a minute or two then run the motor still on premix then revolve the cable spool thingy by hand, you'll see it move back as you revolve it & see the pump stroke increase by lots & also see the oil increase at the little line outlet. There's minimum pump stroke to consider which makes next to no difference when throttle is up past guessing 1/4 throttle . But is important to "Not" have zero stroke at idle. They only run 10-12 thou guessing by memory so is minimal, but some. 20 thou is overdoing it.
